Supplies needed: 1/2 yard of any fabric, 3 " circle of cardboard, two strings 20 inches long.
Cut two eleven inch, and two seven inch circles . Put the circles of the same size together facing each other, and sew all the way around them using 1/2 inch (or less) seam allowance.
Carefully cut a snip in the center of one layer , make the hole just big enough to turn right side out , and press flat. Do this to both sets of circles.
Stack the big circle hole side up, then the cardboard circle , and last on top the small circle with the cut side down.
Sew around the cardboard through all the layers, except the cardboard.
Sew up from the cardboard to the top edge of the smaller circle, several times around the circle. This will form the pockets to put your stuff in.
Sew two rows of stitching around the outside edge of larger circle, start the first row 1/2 inch in from the edge and go all the way around the circle, skip the width of two strings doubled and add a little extra for clearance.
Carefully snip two holes in the outside layer only, each one on opposite sides of the bag . These holes are for the draw strings to go through. You can hand sew around them, as you would a button hole.
Run one string through the hole all the way around, and tie them together.
Run the other string through the other hole and all the way around, and tie them together.
Pull the cords up to close the bag.
This makes an approximately 4 inch diameter bag when closed.
