COLUMBUS WALKING AND RACEWALKING CLUB

Buckeye Striders is a "not for profit" fitness club that is centered around walking and competitive racewalking.  We are members of the USATF.  Our members participate in competitive Racewalking Events and fitness events across Ohio and the Mid-west.

Saturday Walk Schedule

The Group Walks will be on Saturdays starting at 8:00 am. The walks will be rotated about the city to make it more convenient for members to attend. Walkers of all paces and fitness levels are welcome to join the group. The schedule for September and October is as follows:

October          10          Whetstone Park/Park of Roses                            

The Group Walk will be at Whetstone Park/Park of Roses (NOTE THE CHANGE IN PLACE).  We will be walking north on the bike path for 30 minutes, then turn around and return to the parking lot.  If you are training for the Columbus Half Marathon and want to do 6 miles, come at 7:30 am. 

 

Following the Group Walk we will go to breakfast at Bob Evans Restaurant, 5091 North High Street, at the entrance to Graceland Shopping Center.  All walkers are welcome. 

 

Whetstone Park is between North Broadway and Henderson Road.  It is reached west off of High Street on Hollenback Drive just south of the Whetstone Library.  Meet in the parking lot near the picnic shelter next to the path at the bridge.
