Welcome
to the Website for Rochester NY's informally organized group of recumbent
enthusiasts.
Our unwritten charter is to promote and advocate recumbent cycling by
gathering together for informal group rides,
and offering interested cyclists an opportunity
to meet and talk with us about "bents",
see these machines on rides, and possibly try them out on short test rides.
On Sundays, every week from April to November, starting at 6:30 AM, will be the 22 mile Early Sunday
"Hell-Bent for Breakfast Ride."
It starts in the parking area off Clinton Ave. So.,
where Clinton crosses the Canal.
Contact Cliff Weatherell, (585) 737-7815 or

We carry on the breakfast riding through most of the winter, trading our recumbents for mountain bikes and studded tires. Get in touch with one of the organizers if you'd like to be kept up-to-date on weekly destinations.
The annual Great Finger Lakes Bicycle Tour GFLBT, hosted by the Southern Tier Bicycle Club STBC,
has drawn many of us back again and again over the last 15 years.
The RBR rally in State College, PA has been popular. The 2012 edition is scheduled for June 8-10.
The 5-Boro Bike Tour May 6, 2012 in NYC is bent-friendly. They have shifted to a lottery system for entry this year, with lottery entries due by Feb. 7.

A ton of other great rides are also available through the Rochester Bicycling Club.
It is not a requirement that one be an RBC member to participate in the club rides
(although it is certainly encouraged and appreciated).
A calendar of club rides is available through the club's website at:
