WHAT lec-tor n. 1. A person chosen or commissioned to proclaim Holy Scriptures in church services. 2. Someone personally and prayerfully involved in proclaiming the Word of God with the central purpose of celebrating and refreshing the faith of the hearers. 3. One who combines strong personal faith, good communications skills and spiritual inspiration to cause the assembly to listen to what is being proclaimed. 4. The church community’s storyteller who brings life and flesh to the Word of God. |
