Training at Rivendell Rivendell offers training for both horse and rider at reasonable prices.       For the rider, we offer private and semi-private lessons in both Western and English Equitation, which includes learning how to clean and tack up the horse and cool him out properly after the lesson. Private riding lessons are $30.00 per hour. Semi-private riding lessons are $20.00 per hour and can include from two to four people per class. Two lessons per week are recommended for all riding students in order to see reasonable progress. All lessons are taught on our well-trained Rivendell horses unless special arrangements are made with the instructor to bring your own horse.      We also offer classes in Stable Management. These classes are seasonal and their frequency depends upon demand. Stable Management classes are $30.00 per hour.      For the horse, we offer training with full board for $400.00 per month. We specialize in early training, or "breaking in," as it is known in equine circles. Once the horse has enough hours under saddle, we then teach the owner/rider to work with the horse in the manner to which he has been trained.      Beyond early training, we offer training in jumping, trail riding, show ring etiquette, and driving.
