PRESCHOOL NEWS

Lots of giggles, laughter, screams and a few tears mark the beginning of a new year. Most of the tears were from parents leaving their little one for the first time. We have a full school. Thank you for the continued support of our work in caring for children of our community. We are looking forward to working with our new pastor. Our preschool is a joyful safe place. Our summer program ended on August 6. While the children were on break, a new floor was installed in the classrooms made possible by an $800 grant from the Pacifica Synod ELCA Warner Trust Fund. With the completion of the new railing and fence for the wheelchair ramp and patio families bringing their children to be cared for on our campus will find it more welcoming than ever.

PRESCHOOL CLASS

Preschool class is available at Resurrection Lutheran Church on a daily basis:

• Fall Session begins September
• Summer Session begins July

No matter what program your child is involved in, we always maintain that the child’s self-esteem, love of learning, social opportunities, creative expression and chance to “just” play are the basis for our teaching. We place great emphasis on the learning that occurs through play and so we strive to provide the chance for that learning to take place with Teacher supervision according to individual needs. Our center provides activities in the areas of art, music, language development, outdoor play, dramatic play and social interaction. Both Teacher directed activities and free choice play are part of the daily schedule. And did we mention the loving, family-style atmosphere that makes this a happy place for children, staff, and families?
