Lutheran Rose

Sunday morning worship at 10:15 am blends a variety of traditional Bible based Lutheran liturgies with songs and hymns both new and old. Our worship centers on the Word and the Sacraments, Baptism and Holy Communion. We celebrate Holy Communion each Sunday and all are welcome. During worship we provide Nursery Care. Large print worship materials and hearing assistance devices are available for those who need them.

During the summer, children up to 5th grade are released after the “Kid’s Time” with pastor, and go with their teachers for education time. They return at the end of worship, normally in time to share communion with their parents.

We are blessed with many musicians leading our worship on organ and piano. Special music includes the Hovland Chime Choir, vocal solos and groups, violin, sax, and flute.

Liturgy means “the work of the people,” and, following our Lutheran understanding of “the priesthood of all believers”, our worship is not a spectator event but interactive. We follow the Church Year, which builds on the life of Jesus and the Church. It is broken into seasons, with corresponding colors and symbols. Currently we are in the season of Pentecost. It I the season we focus on the growth of the early church and the mission of the Church today. Th color of the season is green. (See more information on the church calendar and seasons at the ELCA web site).

The primary worship resources used are the Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW) and With One Voice (WOV).
