Our Youth Ministry Coordinator, Teri Lynn Forbes is now Teri Lynn Stackhouse. The newly weds have moved to Ohio and Resurrection Lutheran is currently without a coordinator. Watch for new events for youth that are being planned. In the mean time…

LUTHERAN YOUTH EVENT

For High School youth in the San Diego area.
"Not It" in San Diego Friday, September 24, 6:30pm–6:30am. Tentative itinerary:

• 6:30pm: Gathering time & worship at St. Andrews Lutheran, San Diego
• 8–10pm: KROC center for ropes course and dodge ball.
• 10pm–12mid: aser Tag ($6.50/game) and In and Out by the Sports Arena.
• 12:30–5am: AGAPE House at SDSU: Broom Ball, Text and photo scavenger hunt…
• 5:30am: Worship on Beach—Shelter Island
  6:30am: Close of Not It!

Volunteer to be a Communion Assistant, Greeter, or Reader, on Sunday morning to serve Holy Communion to the congregation. Email or text Pastor John and you will be added to those assigned by our Worship Coordinator. Come and share the Word, welcome everyone to our church, or serve this most important Meal of Christ’s presence. You will be spiritually nourished yourself and help Jesus nourish his body, the Church.

YOUTH CONFIRMED MEMBERS—YOU CAN VOTE!

Did you know that in the ELCA, all confirmed members of the church may serve in positions of responsibility and vote at all meetings of the congregation? Before we joined the ELCA, only those 18 and over could vote in the church and serve on council and committees. June 27 is the election of council members. Come to vote and volunteer to use your time and talents however you would like. Simply see a Council member or Pastor John to talk about volunteering.
