CRITIQUING MORAL ARGUMENTS

Ok, this is pretty much just for academic-types,
but it's not an insignificant load of crap!

Too many people think that a moral argument is just that:
a load of crap!
Ok, ok...sometimes they're right,
and sometimes they say something else besides "crap."
But sometimes they're not right!

So, how can you tell the difference between a
"good" moral argument
and a bad one?

Good question...glad you asked.

If I were to tell you that you should buy this book,
because it will help you to respect other people
(assuming that respecting other people is a not such a bad idea),
would you know that you just read a moral argument?

Would you know whether it's a "good" or a "bad" one?

I hope not!!

(Then you'd have no reason to buy my book!)
