The basic idea behind EthicsWorks is to assist the instructor in an effort to teach basic courses in Ethics. It is merely a tool, and is in no way intended to replace the instructor. On the contrary...while much of the program can be completed by students largely unassisted, as they work their way through the disk they will encounter a significant number of questions which they can not answer alone. This is intentional!! Not only will they have to read  the text carefully, they will inevitably need help and explanations from the instructor.

These particularly "nasty" questions are taken directly from the text, and require exact wording to be answered correctly. Since the answers are highly specific, and few instructors will be able to anticipate precisely what the author had in mind, it is essential that the Editor Program be utilized by the instructor. Here, all the "official" answers will be identified.

The author fully anticipates that not everyone will agree, providing a further opportunity for the instructor to engage in discussions with his or her students. Furthermore, everyone is encouraged to communicate  with the author of EthicsWorks so that future versions can be improved.

That being said, a new version is soon to be released. It will be a multimedia introduction to ethics, not limited to any particular text, but useful in any and all introductory courses in ethics. The tentative logo is just below.
