My Family
From the Scollins who left County Leitrim in Ireland, onto Auburn,
NY, and eventually Saranac Lake, NY;
From the Munns in Deerfield and Gil, MA, onto Stowe, VT and eventually to Saranac
Lake, NY;
Sheridan, Wallace, Nims, Howland, Hayes and the rest.
My family can be traced to the May Flower in Plymouth and from the potato famine in Ireland. My ancestors have served on the battlefields of Gettysburgh, on the beaches of Normandy, and
Midway Island in the Pacific, and most recently in the deserts of Iraq. Like so many American families, they are a proud and diverse family, and worth every effort
to preserve their names and history.
