~My Navy Career~

C'mon in... Want some coffee???

"Anchors Aweigh"

~ U.S. Navy ~

After completing Basic training and a couple of Navy schools, I was ordered to the USS Oriskany (CVA-34), an Aircraft Carrier, where I was stationed for about four years. I had originally planned to get out of the Navy after my first four years, but as the end of my enlistment approached, I took a close look at what the Navy was offering me and I decided to reenlist. I spent the next 12 years or so at a few Naval shore bases in the Pacific area before reporting to my second ship, the USS Harold E Holt (FF-1074). After four years of arduous, yet rewarding sea duty on the Harold E Holt, I was transferred to my last shore based duty station before I retired from the Navy. Pictured below are the two ships I served on. Click on the ship's name for more information on the ship and my tour.
