ABOUT THE BAY
The Bay Window bus was set into production in 1968, as the logical upgrade to what's now known as the "splittie". The most visible difference was the one piece windshield - a "Bay" window.
Other upgrade included IRS - the independent rear suspension, roll-down driver and passenger windows, a dashboard with glovebox, and a sliding side door.
Other upgrades were soon to come. The Bay Window was one of the first production vehicles that came with front disk brakes standard.
