the service station base radio call numbers.

Romeo 1-8 are dispatched by the Pompano Traffic Management Center
Romeo 9-15 are dispatched by the Orlando Traffic Management Center (Turkey Lake).
Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority Road Rangers notify the Orlando TMC of incidents occuring on Turnpike owned parts of the expressway system

Turnpike Road Rangers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week and are known as the State Farm Safety Patrol.

As of early fall 2007, the Orlando Orange County Expressway Authority Road Rangers will patrol from 6am to 8pm 7 days a week.

Romeo 15 is a conventional wrecker that exclusively patrols the construction zone
on the Turnpike between SR 528 (milepost 254) to Interstate 4 (milepost 259) seven
days a week between the hours of 6am-10am and again 4pm-8pm. Romeo 15 does have radio
communication and is stationed out of the Turkey Lake Service Plaza.
Road Ranger duties including pulling accidents and disabled vehicles from the travel
lane inside the construction walls of the that widening project

The Road Rangers are not changing radio to the 800 MHz State of Florida systems.
They will be remaining on the UHF system for awaile.

As for 601B in Snapper Creek, they do dispatch non-Turnpike wreckers from a company called
Excalbiur Towing, and they handle the entire HEFT 0-47. However they do not have Road Ranger
radios since they are not Turnpike wreckers, but you will hear 601B and FHP refer to their
wreckers as "Sierra 1-12".

The Florida Turnpike is comprised of the following: Turnpike Mainline - SR 91 (265 miles) Polk Parkway - SR 589 (25 miles) Suncoast Parkway - SR 589 (42 miles) Veteran Expressway - SR 589 (15 miles) Seminole Expressway - SR 417 (19 miles) Beeline Expressway - SR 528 (8 miles between the turnpike and Orlando only) Sawgrass Expressway - SR 869 (23 miles) Southern Connector - SR 417 (6 miles extension between the turnpike and SR 417 only) Homestead Extension - (47 miles) Western Beltway - SR 429 The Roadway Incident channels are rarely used.
