There are more frequencies for the Vero Beach / Sebastian System because it includes the City
of Vero Beach which is not repeated on the Fellsmere System. Also only a few of the county
talkgroups are repeated on the Fellsmere System.

Only the repeater output frequencies are listed. The repeater input frequencies are 45.00 MHz lower.

Only talkgroups that I have heard traffic on are listed. There are many other talkgroups in the system
but are probably used for special events, emergency, backup, digital etc. and not used often.

Patches are used to patch two talkgroups together. Some common patches heard are:
 - Indian River Sheriff's Office patches talkgroups 01-021 and 01-022 together for BOLO's, Alerts, etc.
 - MED 8 (463.175) to PSMA (01-143) patch (Used by Rescue Helicopters)
 - Indian River Sheriff's Office / Vero Beach Police Dept. patch
 - Sheriff / Fire Dept. patch
 - EMS Admin / Fire Admin

All telephone interconnect activity is on the Channel 5 frequency of the East System
(866.7375).

The following talkgroups are in ProVoice Digital Mode and cannot be monitored with a scanner:

Vero Beach Police Dept. dispatches their not in progress (non-emergency) calls via Mobile Data
Terminals (MDT). By using an MDT system an officer can now bypass the dispatcher for information
such as license, registration and warrant checks, report numbers etc.

Indian River County also dispatches the following:
- Indian River Shores Public Safety (Police, Fire & EMS)
- Fellsmere Police Dept.

Fellsmere Police Dept. can also talk direct to the Sebastian Police Dept. on talkgroup 07-061.

Some of the latest scanners are able to display User ID's (UID) or Radio ID's (RID) depending on the scanner manufacturer. These ID's are also also known as Logical ID's (LID). Every unit in a trunk system has its own individual ID number. The LID number displayed on the scanner can be replaced with the name of the unit. Example when Medic 3 keys up "UID:i1102" is displayed. The UID can be programmed into the scanner to display "Medic 3" instead of the UID number.

There are thousands of LID's in use on the system. Each sheriff/police unit has two LID's - one for the car radio and a different one for the officer's pacset (HT). Each Fire/Rescue unit can have many LID's - one for the truck radio, one for the Lieutenant, and one for each portable radio on the truck. The only way to figure out which UID belongs to what unit is by monitoring the system.
