The Caribbean and the Bahamas |
![]() |
| Our philosophy on Caribbean travel (besides
doing it often) is to not use cruise ships, not go to islands which can
accommodate wide-body jets, do eat local food in local restaurants, do
stay in locally-owned hotels/villas/etc., swim/snorkel/scuba as much as
possible, circle the island on a sailboat if possible, hike through the
rain forests and thoroughly absorb the island.
The islanders are friendly, clean, industrious and proud. The children are a delight. You are safe anywhere at any time. You can drink the water. Their bubbly, dialectic language is hard to catch onto, but it is "no problem, mon". Click on an island below for a quick tour. |
