Warning Description: Winter Storm Warning
Warning Date: 3:18 PM CST on February 9, 2010
WarningSum:...Winter Storm Warning Now In Effect Until 6 Am Cst Wednesday...
Warning Message:The Winter Storm Warning is now in effect until 6 am CST
Wednesday.
* Snow...locally heavy at times this evening...is forecast to
slowly diminish after midnight.
* 6 to 8 inches are expected before the snow diminishes. The
highest totals will be found near Lake Michigan.
* Sustained northeast winds of 15 to 25 mph this evening will
shift to the north overnight. Considerable blowing and drifting
snow will continue through the night.
* Snow and blowing snow will make for treacherous travel
conditions through tonight. Visibilities are expected to be
reduced to as low as one-half mile at times...especially near
Lake Michigan.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow and blowing snow means
severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. The
combination of snow and strong winds will make travel very
difficult. If you must travel...keep an extra flashlight...food...
and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest

WarningSum:...Winter Storm Warning In Effect Until 6 Am Wednesday Morning...
Warning Message:Light to moderate snow is forecast to continue from Oshkosh east
to Manitowoc into the early evening hours. Additional snow
accumulations between 4 PM and 6 PM should average between 1 and 2
inches... bringing totals into the 4 to 6 inch range. Visibilities
are expected to range between 1 and 2 miles...with occasional snow
bursts lowering visibilities to one-half mile at times. Gusty
northeast winds at 15 to 25 mph will generate blowing and drifting
of the snow.
