Stone Image Arabians is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream!

Long before I could walk I was in love with the horse (or so my family tells me). I CAN remember that when the neighbors work horses would show up in our yard and I was lucky enough to lead/ride them by myself the 2 miles back home.  This was before I started kindergarten so I guess that there is some truth to what they say.

That was the beginning!!

When I grew up, as fate would have it, I was lucky enough to fall in love with someone who cared for horses almost as much as I did. We started slowly, but have been raising horses for the most of our lives.  For many years we managed  a large broodmare farm for a multi millionaire and maintained a few of our own animals.   When the change in tax laws went into effect, he closed the farm, giving us two months to relocate and find new jobs!  We were forced to look for a place of our own.  Jokingly I told a real estate agent that I'd had horses longer than my husband and kids so.....

Anyway we found a small place that was suitable for both the family and a few of our best animals- regretfully we had to let some go.  Since that time we agreed that NEVER AGAIN would our fate be in someone else's hands- everything we did with the animals would be done by and for ourselves.  We started STONE IMAGE ARABIANS  a small family owned and operated BLACK Arabian breeding farm located in upstate New York where the RARE IS COMMON. All of our foals are imprinted and handled daily with firm kindness.  They learn to love and respect humans at an early age.   It is good that we love our horse as much as we do because both of us have to work away from the farm as well as spending many, many hours with the animals: hopefully someday we will be self sufficient.

When we found WG PRIORITY ONE a 3 month old black Al Khamsa Straight Egyptian colt it was love at first sight and we immediately knew that we wanted to shift  direction slightly to Straight Egyptian Blacks.  He has not disappointed us. 
 

He, along with the other stallion we stand, represent what we are looking for in the Arabian, a quiet loving personality, halter conformation, and ability to perform. 

Our mares have similar traits and they are definitely people orientated!  They come running from anywhere in the 32 acre pasture when called.  They can be led anywhere with a piece of twine around their neck or if we are feeling lazy on any particular day and don't want to walk, ridden bareback with just twine on their halter.  Don't confuse this calmness with a deadheaded animal - when asked they will gladly perform whatever task we ask of them.  I truly believe that they would go until they dropped if we were to ask. 

We are trying to promote the Arabian as a LOVING FAMILY HORSE who also happens to be BREATHTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL, and can PERFORM  most anything asked.  We feel that the Arabian should be enjoyed by EVERYONE, this is why we have the motto of QUALITY ARABIANS AT AFFORDABLE PRICES.  We are willing to work with anyone that would truly like a top quality Arabian - to help their dream come true the same way my childhood dream of someday owning a horse farm with beautiful horses has come true!
