The Marion Diamonds Fast Pitch Softball Travel Program provides a higher level of competition beyond County Leagues for any player willing to make the commitment to work hard and improve their skills. Our primary focus of the program is for player development and education in the spirit of winning. Particular emphasis is placed on developing pitchers, catchers, and position-specific skills. Our goal is to increase program participation, give as many players as possible an opportunity to learn the game, and to prepare each girl for success at the Middle School, High School, and potential collegiate level.
Our travel program is not intended for everyone. We will encourage and accommodate participation for as many children as possible while continuing to maintain a higher level of play beyond recreational programs. We must keep the safety of the children in mind and not allow any player to participate in the travel program who would put themselves at risk of injury due to insufficient skills.

Several Marion Diamonds players attended the Crystl Bustos/Howard Carrier hitting clinic hosted recently at Westerville Central. Crystl Bustos is one of the most prolific hitters in the history of softball. She is a three-time Olympian and the 2008 USA Softball Player of the Year. She presented the clinic along with her hitting coach Howard Carrier.
