The Saint Victor Parish Foundation

Foundation FAQs

Many unforgettable moments dot the memories of St. Victor Parishioners; a baptism, a moving homily, a grandson’s first communion, a daughter’s confirmation or a wedding ceremony.  For more than 30 years, St. Victor has served the spiritual needs of hundreds of families like yours.  Thanks to your support, it has provided spiritual leadership throughout the Richfield and Bath communities.

Now the challenge is to build on this foundation.  The St. Victor Parish Foundation is intended to do just that  -  perpetuate St. Victor Church for your children, grandchildren and generations to come.

The St. Victor Foundation is intended to generate future income for the support of the church, helping to maintain the physical plant and meet the growing needs not covered by ordinary parish income.

Why The St. Victor Parish Foundation Is Needed?

Like most parishes, St. Victor faces the task of serving the spiritual needs of a diverse parish family, with members ranging from young families to retired persons.

The parish offers a wide array of important life experiences, ranging from the parish school of religion to adult education.  The St. Victor  Parish Foundation serves as a type of insurance for the future welfare of the church.  It is intended to insure that the excellence achieved over the past thirty-five years is maintained.  That in turn contributes to the quality of life and stability we know and love in the Richfield/Bath communities.  Of special importance is the fact that all contributions to the St. Victor Foundation  -  and interest generated by them  -  will stay in the parish for its own use.

The St. Victor Foundation and You

The St. Victor Foundation provides a special opportunity for you to help assure the future security of the church.  You can help meet St. Victor’s needs in several ways:

·         Make the Foundation a beneficiary in your will.  If your choice is to remember St. Victor Foundation in your will, then when discussing this with your attorney, you should consider the following wording: “I hereby give and bequeath the sum of $_____________ dollars (or here describe the property, stocks, etc.) to St. Victor Parish Foundation, 3435 Everett Road, Richfield, Ohio 44286”.

You may even add that your gift is a memorial to a loved one, such as: “this bequest is in memory of my beloved wife, Mary”.

·         Bestow a grant to the Foundation now in the form of cash, securities or real estate.

·         Establish a living trust, whereby you can make an outright gift to the Foundation, yet reserve the income for yourself or other members of your family during their lifetime.

All of the capital contributed to the Foundation is invested by a committee of knowledgeable parishioners appointed by the trustees of the Foundation.  First Merit Bank is the custodian of the St. Victor Parish Foundation.

Of course, all gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible, but we encourage you to consult your attorney or tax advisor to determine the best way for you to contribute.

You may wish to make your contribution as a memorial to a loved one or a friend or in honor of a special occasion.  An appropriate notice is sent by the Foundation to the person or family named in such contributions.
