In addition, not all of the source documentation has been scanned and some sources are in electronic form; such as, those from the Social Security Administration. Other source documentation may be copyrighted. Source documentation on living individuals is not provided. If source information is needed for any of the information on this web site it can be requested by e-mailing me at the e-mail address located at the bottom of this page. Additional source documentation will be added to this page from time-to-time.

I would like to recognize other individuals for providing information on my family:

• Paul Sy who died 19 May 2000. He was the person that got me interested in the Sy family genealogy. He gave me the database of his research into the Sy and related families before he died.
• Edith Harrott (died 18 May 2001) who provided most of what I know about the Harrott and Powell families.
• Pauline Seward who keeps me informed of any new information on the living or recently deceased Kaack (Kaak) family members.
• Ina Jonas-Nolte, a Huguenot researcher, who has provided invaluable information on the early Sy family. She also criticizes my knowledge of European history.
• Of course my parents, both deceased.
