Congrats to John Schell for carding the low round of the night, 35! It's tight on top of the leader board and it's going to come down to next week to decide who our 2010 Sodbusters League Champion will be! Even though Schell/Witmann have a 3 point lead on top but they still have to battle against the 4th place team of Duncan/Davis which they took 11.5 points from Calhoun/Drifka despite Don Duncan dislocating his shoulder on the 7th tee box and still taking 6.5 points from Bob Drifka, what a fighter!
We all know that next week is the end of our regular league play season which leaves us with two more nights of play, September 7th which is our League Tournament Championship & September 14th is our 4-Man scramble, steak cookout and awards banquet. Just a reminder how the League Tournament Championship format works; Teams 1-8 playing for the Tournament Championship, on the "Front 9" will not use the accumulated points from the season, all teams will begin the night with ZERO points and after the round the team that scores the most combined points as a team will win our League Tournament Championship! In case of ties the rules are as follows: 1. Playoff starting with hole #1 play until tie is broke. 2. Combined Net Scores (not points). 3. Handicap Holes. Our #1 seed, Sodbusters League Champion will be able to select their opponent as will the 2nd & 3rd seeded teams. All other teams will use their accumulated points and will play for season ending positioning. All teams not playing in the League Tournament Championship must be at the course by 4:00 P.M. & ready to play we'll do some sort of a modify shot gun start for those teams. If you already know that you won't be here for our season ending 4-Man Scramble & cookout on September 14th please let me know ASAP but you still need to get a sub and make sure you let me know who's playing for you so I can figure their handicap into our system!! We use our web site to generate teams and any cancellations at the 11th hour will make some teams unfair! Also, I have who's playing with who in our Ryder Cup Event on 9/11 and I will post the teams on our web site after I talk with the Blue Tee Wannabe's captain so, plan on sometime next week!! Good luck to all teams next week!
