Hi again. The past couple of weeks have been long and tiring, especially this week. I've been going to bed late (or, rather, very early morning on some days) and being kept on my toes at all hours. My mom and I have been peeling down wallpaper all week! And when I say 'all week', I really do mean that. It's grass cloth and peels off like itchy hay. It's actually just like hay…except on a wall. And then we still have to peel off the wallpaper beneath it. Then we have to sand the walls and paint! Later during the week, I hung out with my friends (I spent the night at their house and we were very active, like swimming and dancing and stuff), drove all around running errands afterwards with my mom, and came home to clean the whole house for a showing. That was Thursday. Just Thursday. Then on Friday we did more running around, and it turns out the people that came to scope out our property didn't really like it that much after all! So that had us all pretty bummed. Then on Saturday we went to a wedding at our home church, a.k.a. Carin and Craig's wedding. It was a very simple wedding, but still nice, what with the plain decorations and candles on the stage. Carin hardly ever wears makeup, probably because she was in the navy (I think). She looked beautiful. Craig's real name is Thomas, but he prefers to be called by his middle name. He looked anxious to be standing up there, awaiting his bride. I guess I would be too. He looked so tense. We asked him come the reception if he was nervous, and he said he was. Big surprise. It was good, but all the chairs in the sanctuary were rearranged. Plus, there was no tape where the chairs were supposed to be! So all the ushers (my dad and his friends Danny and Devin) and Pastor Mark Merrill spent an hour perfectly assembling the chairs! We were there altogether for a grand total of 4 hours, even though the newlyweds vanished as soon as they could get away with. Everyone was left cleaning up, but that was okay for us. Some people went a little overboard, though, like vacuuming too much. We packaged all the leftover food from the reception and threw away the rest. Mom even got to keep the chic silver vases from the wedding! And Danny's wife Jackie got to keep the staircase of candleholders. We all got a little something, I guess. But the weird part was that no one danced! Melissa (Devin's wife) and I are the life of the party when it comes to occasions that call for it. So we were joking lightheartedly about doing the Macarena (sp?) and the electric slide and stuff. But there was no slow dancing or anything… L . No dancing at all! So, yeah, we were there for 4 hours total. I even met one girl, who's a few years younger than I am, and we exchanged email addresses. Her name is Amber and she was the junior bridesmaid, also known as Carin's stepsister's daughter. Then we spent two hours at Applebee's with this new couple, Ella and Caleb. They're really nice people, and they've only been married three weeks! Can you imagine? It was a fun day, but also a long day. Then today we went back to church. It was really embarrassing because I've wanted to get to know these two girls a little better-their names are Kelsey and Jessica. They're good friends, I guess-but anyway, that's not the embarrassing part. I called Jessica in the late afternoon, and she was hanging out with some friends at a restaurant. So she asked if I was busy this week (I said no, not really) and she said was all, “Cool, let's hang out on Thursday.” So I was all up for that because she's going to be a senior and I'm just a poor little junior-high-schooler…hahaha. Well, it's true! So I was up for that. So she's like, “Okay, well, I'll see you Wednesday at youth group.” I said okay and hung up.
Then I thought about Kelsey. She's Jessica's age and I had her number, but never really took the time to call her. I kept telling myself to, but anyway, I called her. She was sort of confused because she thought I was her friend Kaitlyn who, I'm guessing, moved to Georgia.
I said, “No, I'm Kaitlyn, from youth.”
She was like, “Oh!!” and then I kind of laughed.
I said, “Are you sleeping?” because, I mean, it's Sunday-most people sleep on Sunday. It's a day of rest. It's the Sabbath, you know?
She's like, “Oh, no, I was hanging out with my friends.”
I asked Kelsey if she knew Jessica Bolay. She said she did, and that Jessica was right behind her in the car!! I was so embarrassed.
“You mean, you went out to eat with Jessica?!” I exclaimed.
She answered, “Yeah. So, how are you doing?”
I kind of paused. “Uhh…good, I guess-a little embarrassed. But good.”
Then she said she had to go. But that was my week. My long, long week of mine. Sorry I wasted so much time! I had to write all this down. Summertime right before school gets so hectic…anyway, I'll post more soon.

Sup?
Wow, it's been so long since I've written in my blog...sorry ya'all.
School starts in 4 days (at least for me and my brother--can you believe it?). Actually, some people have already started, like a week or two ago. I'm excited but not all too prepared, it seems...after all, I've been homeschooled since the fourth grade and this will be a big step for me. I'm sure I'm going to miss Mom as much as she's going to bawl...LOL, I'll probably cry too. But it'll be good. It's all good. Hahaha. :D
Lately we've been spending time with friends and family when we're not busy. Our best friends Jackie and Danny have their nephew Tristin down here for a litttle while (at least until school starts up). Tristin grew so much over the summer, but he's still the same obnoxious kid who's a year-and-a-half younger than I am. LOL, okay, you gotta love him. I stayed with Jackie, Tristin, and Alex while my mom went home. And Tristin wanted to hit the Bass Pro Shop because he's, well...a guy and he's never been to one before (I didn't think that was humanly possible). So him and I went while Mom and Jackie got stuck being lectured by this newspaper guy, who was, in my opinion, doing a pretty bad salesperson thing. I'd rather be at the Bass Pro Shop than get lectured, I decided. But we had fun looking at the fish and talking to other people about the types of fish. We looked at their expensive boats and hats and pillows. Speaking of expensive, we were just messing around with the golf clubs, pretending to hit one in a hole, when a guy said,
"Don't touch those! They're $400."
Tristin and I exchanged freaked-out glances. Four hundred dollars for a golf club that looks and feels like plastic?! But we still had a good time with Jackie and Alex. We all played at the arcade and ate pizza, and then Tristin, Alex and I had a HUGE pillow fight at her house until Mom came to pick me up.
After church today (we had a guest speaker who is a really good friend and mentor for Pastor Mark), my family and our friend Scott hit this German place that's pretty good. Heck, I ate the grits, and I don't even like grits! Hahaha.

I haven't talked to my best friend Chelsea in over two weeks. I really miss her and I think I'll give her a call. But lately she's been 'sitting her cousin Brianna who is totally cute! She's so little! Chelsea's Aunt Meredith (who's only a little older than the baby, I'd say...LOL, not really, but she's still sort of young) had her just a couple months ago. I remember when she was born! Gosh, time flies.
Well, I'm wasting my time typing because you're probably bored, so I'm going to stop chewing your ear off. I'll write after school starts. Later!
