After ironing all day it was time to take a bath |
|
|
| Those clawfoot bathtubs were really great. Fill that baby up and slide in and soak in hot water up to your neck. But that didn't happen often. You took a bath once a week whether you needed it or not. Saturday night was bath night. Many times you took a bath one after the other and used the water that the person before you did. It's not so much that people were more energy and environmentally conscious then, it was hard times and every penny counted. So nothing was wasted. |
