Radio was the center of entertainment |

There were no video games, TV, etc.. The radio was it. You would spend hours in the evening lying on the floor in front of the radio letting yourself become fully engrossed in the program you were listening to. In your mind you created the faces to the characters and imagined the places they were and how they looked. You could listen to "Our Miss Brooks"," FBI"," Fibber MaGee & Molly"," Amos & Andy"," Gene Autry", "The lone Ranger", "The Great Gildersleve", "Burns and Allen", and "Bob and Ray" to name a few. Radio sure exercised the mind. |
