You popped your slice of home made,
hand sliced bread into the toaster, closed the door and waited till
the faint wisps of smoke start to curl out the top of the
toaster. You opened the door and the slice slid down the door so
you can could close it again to toast the other side. Many times the
toast was rather black and you scraped the burnt surface off with
the butter knife before eating it. But that home made bread sure
tasted great!
