ThunderEagle's Nest

Octogon Picnic Table

This was constructed by a plan from Jer's Pattern Projects. This consists of some cardboard templates that you layout on your lumber and trace the lines and then just cut out and assemble. It was quite easy and produces a nice result.

This is a pretty easy project to accomplish, especially if you have a decent Compound Miter Saw. I didn't at the time I did it and used my Delta TS200 saw for all the cuts. I'm pretty amazed it worked out as well as it did. If any of you are relative newbies to woodworking like I am, one of things you should be striving for is to produce non-shop projects so that the LOYL begins to believe that investment in tools was worth it. This is a good simple project that can be accomplished in a weekend and used for dinner Sunday night.
