Each year Akron-Canton TRIO submits a tree decorated by our members. This year Rosie Price & Susan Golden will decorate & contribute a tree in November, along with a wreath submitted by Robin Pelton.
As a Transplant Recipient Support Group we feel this is one way of thanking the community, organ donors and families, living donors, Doctors and Nurses for helping us before and after our transplant. We feel that this is a very important event and are proud to be associated with this volunteer program of Akron Children's Hospital.
December 16, at the Health Education Bldg., North Canton Medical Foundation, 6046 Whipple Ave NW, North Canton, Ohio. Party will be held 6:30 - 8:30 Transplant Recipients, relatives and friends, living donors and donor families, gather for a party to celebrate life after an organ transplant by paying tribute to organ donors. Each recipient hangs an ornament on a tree in honor of their donor. We also pay tribute to living donors. Those attending bring some type of side dish or dessert, TRIO supplies main dish and beverages. Our speaker will be from LifeBanc. All are welcome, please call.
