  • Monthly Prayer Vigil - Last Monday of the month at St Joseph Church
  • Annual Summer Pinic for the religious of the deanery

The Tiffin Serra club has members from these parish communities.

  • St. Mary Tiffin

Our Serra club meets twice a month at the Upper Room in the St. Joseph Parish Activity Center. We would enjoy the opportunity to have you join us. Please feel free to contact the Serra club by email at tiffinserra@woh.rr.com.

Our Mission

As Serra International is the lay vocation arm of the church, our mission is to foster and affirm vocations to the ministerial priesthood and vowed religious life in the United States and through this ministry further our members’ common Catholic faith.

What is Tiffin Serra and What do They do?

Serra is a group of lay catholics whose primary objectives are becoming better informed Catholics on moral and spiritual matters, seeking out and cultivating new vocations to the priesthood and religious life and preserving the vocations we already have. The way we achieve these goals are through prayer and vocation awareness. Serra was chartered in Tiffin in 1955 with the encouragement of Msgr. Richard Gabel. Daily prayer for vocations and two supper meetings a month at the Upper Room in St. Joseph Parish Activity Center to help keep us abreast of the current Church issues and vocation strategies in which we can all participate. The Serra movement is now chartered in 38 countries across the world. This years international convention will be held in Omaha, Nebraska. It features bishops, priests, religious and Serrans from around the globe. The theme of this year's convention is "The Role of Christs Lay Faithful". Please help us with you prayers to relieve the critical shortage of priests and religious. Keep in mind that our priests and sisters come from good Catholic families like those right in our own parishes!
