SERRA CLUB OF TIFFIN

SEPT. 2011

         On Sept. 6, 2011 at 6 p.m. at the Upper Room at the St. Joseph Activities Center, Tiffin Serra Club met with prayer, following the 5:15 p.m. mass at St. Joseph Church. A meal followed.

         Pat Englehart opened the meeting with prayer. Fr. Joseph Szybka reported 1st year semenarian Zack Brown says he enjoys the semenary thus far. Sr. Rita Mae was very happy by the gathering for her. Joann Kirian gave the financial reprort. Allie Allman withdrew from the club. 1 guest in attendance.

         Dave Mileski introduced District Gov. Gino Dimattia from Lima, as speaker of the evening, he spoke about International and National Serra vocational information. Provided recruitment and retention information for growth in membership. Meeting ended in prayer.

        On Sept. 20, 2011 at 6 p.m. at the Upper Room at the St.Joseph Activities Center, Tiffin Serra Club met with prayer, following the 5:15 p.m. mass at St. Joseph Church. A meal followed.

         Deacon Appreciation Night Dinner, 9 Deacons,8 wives were in attendance. Deacon Dans' brother also attended, 3 other guests attended. Pat Englehart opened the meeting with prayer. A candle was lit in memoriam of Deacon Dan, Joanne Brickner read a prayer. John Walters, a recent ordained Deacon, spoke on what him to become a deacon. Dave Mileski spoke on " what is a Serra member". Deacon Floyd Hohman gave a blessing to the group.

     ***Holy Hour is on the last monday of the month, 7:00 p.m., St. Joseph Church.
