Timsloft: January 2002

Tom returned to the Timsloft variety show and presented
A Puppet Show For Children:
The Story of the Abstract Geometrical Shapes With No Allegorical Content
with the wildly popular PUCE NONAGON!
Featuring actress Hannah Mason (of Tom Chao's Sketch Comedy Troupe) as The Actress.
The puppet show was originally part of "Can't Get Started" and was one of the highlights of the show.
Plus this sketch included the brand new "Advice for Infantilized Adults!"

TIMSLOFT 26: WINTERLUDE
Six Nights of Theater, Film, Dance, Music, Beer & Other Cold Weather Activities
6 shows, 2 weekends, Thu, Fri, Sat nights, 1/17, 18, 19, and 1/24, 25, 26
Interart Annex, Hell's Kitchen, 500 West 52nd Street, 2nd Floor, New York.

Why do we look so bad?

Hannah (L) holds Yellow Triangle and Tom cradles Red Square, the incredibly complicated puppets fabricated by Tom.  Note this pose's unintentional echoes of "American Gothic" by Grant Wood.  Photo: John Conroy.

It's "heptagon," not "septagon"!

Hannah (L) holds Orange Heptagon and Mr. Three-Dimensional Object and Tom holds up Puce Nonagon, in an obviously staged photograph.  Puce Nonagon has consistently been a massively crowd-pleasing character and dwarfs me in popularity.  Note that Puce Nonagon isn't actually puce in color, but rather an ordinary shade of brown.  Photo: John Conroy.
