OCTOBER MEETING & MESSAGE FROM HORACE -

Well here we are November, the leaves have turned to bright color and then turned loose for you and I to deal with. Cool temperatures have cut down the electric bills and more important to me the FAIR IS OVER. We have about got the taste of biscuit and PIIE out of our system.
We had a great turnout for the CRC meeting at the Lions Club Booth even with the less than great weather. I think there were about 20 or so folks who showed up. Thanks for all for supporting the Lions effort. It was a great fair and our sales were up about 10% over last year but I have not closed the books on profit which as we all know is all that counts. But overall things look positive for the project. We had a lot of UCC folks come by during the fair to say hello and I keep asking them to come to our meetings so maybe they will. That is one of the nice things about the fair, I get to see a lot of friends who know where to find Frankie and me.
As soon as the meeting in November is over we will be headed down to LA for a few days of family commitments. I will be glad when we get all the nieces and nephews married off, or does that ever come to an end.
We have a great speaker who will share with us some of his experiences and give us some in sight into our history as well. Gordon will provide the details below but do turn out to show CMDR Buell how much we seniors appreciate his service to our country.
