What are The Ultrapolite Socialites all about?

This question is an easy yet at the same time very difficult one to answer. We like to think of ourselves as martini sipping mofos that are a social club within the context of the EVE universe. Our philosophy is that each and everyone of us can and should do what we like to do while we play this game. There are rules of course - we would not get very far without some sort of organization, but on the whole we are very open minded people who like to have a laugh. Needless to say, we take up arms as the occasion presents itself (which can be every night if you like).

How is the corp run?

It is our full intention to make everyone feel as involved in the corp as they care to be. We apologize for not having anything formal just yet but we are working on it. In the mean time if you would like to share your ideas with us we would be happy to listen and discuss.

I lost my ship! Will the corp reimburse me?

The corporation reserves the right to make a decision on this matter as need be. Generally the answer to this is that if you are ratting or running missions and you lose a ship then unfortunately no. There is great pride involved in buying and operating your own ship and keeping it in tip top shape. Should you unfortunately lose your ship in the process and do not have the funds to replace it, we will be happy to give you a zero percent loan to replace the costs. On the other hand, if it is a corp sponsored event, we have plenty of cruisers and frigates to hand out and should you lose this ship then it will be at no cost to you.

What exactly is GoonSwarm?

The origins of GoonSwarm can be found on the wiki. The people in The GoonSwarm are a funny crowd indeed. Please take note, they are also a pretty crude bunch which can be misconstrued at times. If you find certain material to be offensive then please bring it up with us first as it it very likely that you have found yourself privy to an inside joke that has been going on for quite some time.

Why are we in GoonSwarm?

Our origins in the Swarm hark back to us desiring the most profitable mission agents in the game. Without going into too much detail here, suffice it to say that we were at one time members of another great alliance - The OSS. We found ourselves going on operations with The Goonswarm and our membership felt like The GoonSwarm kicked ass and were fun to boot. So here we are today. They are very lucky to have us in the alliance.

Who can we shoot?

GoonSwarm policy is NBSI (Not Blue Shoot It). If your overview shows a blue star or dash then they are our allies and friends. If you initiate an attack on a blue then there is a VERY high chance that you will be expelled from the corp. On the other hand, if you see a red star or dash then by all means shoot to kill. Also, sometimes you will see a neutral. If this is the case and you are unsure then please find out if they are off limits. We recommend NOT attacking unless you are sure of the political situation, which is in constant flux.

Who are we at war with and why?

What day is it today? The answer to this is constantly changing so I will not attempt to answer that here. Use the forums to find the latest information regarding this matter.
