This image was taken from the inner courtyard of the Alternative Cultural Center of El Yacare (meaning “crocodile” in the indigenous Guarani language), where art students from all over South America live and display their work. We discovered the center while exploring the streets of Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay. This photo won Best in Show, Fine Arts Division, at the Clifton Arts & Music Fest in 2004.
