WADE surname DNA project
Identifying the haplotype of the common ancestor for those participants in Wade Lineage 1.
We have sufficient test results for a group of related participants in the project to form one branch of the Wade tree. I have named this group "Wade Lineage 1". This lineage is made up currently of seven participants in the project (Kit# 23076, 29792, 29910, 65819, 87002, 124940, and 137433). In order to be deemed to be part of a lineage there must be at least 3 participants with 25 marker results who match at 23/25 or better (23/25, 24/25, or 25/25). Participants with only 12 marker results can be part of the lineage if they match exactly on those 12 markers however, the genetic distance from the common ancestor for these 12 marker participants cannot be measured accurately with just 12 markers. For a definition of genetic distance (GD) please see the Definitions Page here Definitions The common ancestor's haplotype is calculated using the technique called Triangulization. For a definition of Triangulization please see the Definitions Page whose link is on the above line.
