(son of Robert BRYANT & Mary GALE) died 1793 in Edgecombe County, NC. He married ELIZABETH HARRELL, daughter of THOMAS HARRELL and REBECCA ___. She died Abt. 1797 in Edgecombe County, NC.

In the name of God Amen
This eigth day of April and in the year of our Lord one thou-
sand seven hundred and eighty eight I Gale Bryant
of the County of Edgecombe in the State of North Carolina
being weak Body but in perfect mind and memory
thanks be to the Almighty God for the same -And calling
to mind the mortality of the flesh and knowing that it is
appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this
my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following
That is to say principally and first of all I do Recom-
mend my Soul unto the hands of God who gave it me
and my body I recommend to the earth to be Buried in a decent
and Christian like manner at the discretion of my Executors
hereafter mentioned
Item I Lend my Loving Wife Elizabeth Bryant
the use of my Land and manner plantation whereon
I now live during her natural life and widowhood also
one feather bed and furniture one Mair Bridle and
Saddle and all my hogs and cattle then at my discase [sic]
with all other of my Stocks and house hold goods and
Chattels except what shall be here after named and
after her decease or marriage the same to be equally
divided Between my two daughters Sarah Brand and
Edah Jordan
Item I give and bequeath to my Loving Daughter Sarah Brand one
Feather Bed and furniture and one Lining wheel
to her and her heirs
Item I give and Bequeath to my loving Daughter Edah
Jordan all my Land and manner plantation whereon
I now live and one Loom and weaving gear to her
and her heirs
Item I give and bequeath to my Loving Grandson
Nazareth Allen one Feather bed and furniture and
one small Shot Gun to him and his heirs
Joseph Jordan and Elizabeth Bryant my wife
whom I make and ordain whole and Sole Executors
of this my Last Will and Testament in witness where
of I have set my hand and fixed my Seal

proved in Open Court by the Oath of Mourning
Pitman a Subscribing Witness thereunto
The Executors were at the same time Qualified and the
