Nathaniel Harris is listed in the Gwinnett County Georgia Census of 1850. He was living in the house of William and Lucinda Freeman. Nathaniel Harris was listed as 79 years old, born in Virginia and his occupation was listed as Blacksmith. Lucinda Freeman was the daughter of Nathaniel Harris. Lucinda Harris Freeman, born 1800 in Wilkes County Georgia, died on December 4, 1854 in Gwinnett County Georgia and is buried beside her husband in Pleasant Hill Methodist Church Cemetery. After the death of Lucinda, William Freeman married Elizabeth Argent Blount in Gwinnett County Georgia. William Freeman served in the War of 1812 and received a Pension for his service. In his application for pension he stated that his first wife was Lucinda Harris and that they married on September 16, 1817 in Wilkes County Georgia.

Nathaniel Harris paid Poll Tax only in Captain William Spruce's District (K) of Wilkes County Georgia in 1796. The only other Harris listed in this district in 1796 was West Harris however, only a partial list of this district remains. West Harris owned 13 slaves, and 300 acres of Third Quality Land in Wilkes County Georgia on Fishing Creek Water course. He had lived on this land since 1790. This land joined Thomas Evans and Robert Sharman. Robert Sharman also owned land in Franklin County Georgia and in Greene County Georgia. The Green County land joined land owned by Walton Harris.

In 1797 Nathaniel Harris paid tax on one slave but no land. Nathaniel was listed in Captain Gustavus Gaines' District (K) of Wilkes County. This was the same district as in 1796 but with a new district captain. Peter Harris paid Poll Tax only in this same district and West Harris owned 13 slaves and 300 acres of Third Quality Land in Wilkes County Georgia on Fishing Creek Watercourse adjacent to Thomas Evans and Robert Sharman. West Harris' land was originally granted to Hˆy Gibson.

Captain David Hilhouse became the District Captain (K) but only a partial list of tax records remain. Nathaniel Harris paid tax on two slaves but no land. West Harris paid tax on 13 slaves and 300 acres of Third Quality land in Wilkes County Georgia. Littleton Harris is listed in the same district as paying Poll Tax only.

Peter Harris was list in the same district and owned one slave and 50 acres of Second Quality land and 50 acres of Third Quality land in Wilkes County on the Rockey Creek Watercourse next to Cotes and Peter owned 300 acres of Third Quality land in Oglethorpe County Georgia on Long Creek next to B. Bleke. Walton Harris paid Poll Tax only in Captain William Coats District in 1800.

West Harris owned ten slaves and 280 acres of Third Quality land on Fishing Creek Watercourse originally granted to Gibson and next to Evans and Robert Sharman. Peter Harris lived in Captain Adamson's District [164th GMD] and owned one slave and 50 acres of Second Quality land and 50 acres of Third Quality land in Wilkes County on the Rocky Creek Watercourse originally granted to Coats and next to Coats.
