WILLIAM HENRY HILL (son of CARTER HILL & DORCUS TABITHA HOSCH) was born 11 Aug 1834 in Walton County, GA, and died 08 Feb 1882 in Walton County, GA. He married CAMMA JANE SMITH 17 Dec 1857 in GA, daughter of GREENE WAGNER SMITH and MARY ARNOLD. She was born 30 May 1842 in Walton County, GA, and died 10 May 1921 in Winder, Barrow County, GA.

William Henry Hill was a School Teacher at Chapel Academy in Jackson Co. and a member of the first Board of Education of Walton Co. GA. William H. Hill owned farm land and several town lots in Jug Tavern (Winder) and Hoschton and he owned stock in Walton Rail Road. Census records show that he was a merchant and farmer. He served as Worshipful Master of Carter Hill Masonic Lodge. His brother-in-law, John S. Smith served as administrator of his estate.
