15th Annual Rochester River Challenge


Pittsford Fire Department Band play at the 14th Annual Rochester River Challenge on Saturday, September 17, 2011. This is an inclusive community event and a Wounded Warrior Disabled Sports Project Event. Wounded Warriors will be invited to participate in the outrigger canoe sprint races and an all-expense paid weekend of activities in Western New York. Canoe races are from 9:30 to 12 and 1:14 to 4:30. Click here for more information.

WHEN:
11:00 a.m. - Arrival at stage (leave plenty of time for parking and getting to stage)
11:15 a.m. - Warm ups
11:30 a.m. - Concert starts
12:15 p.m. - Play Armed Forces Salute and Star Spangled Banner at the Honor Our Heroes Ceremony.

WEAR:
"Class A" uniform, without hat
Black shoes, Black socks, Uniform pants, Uniform belt, Uniform shirt, with collar brass and ribbon(s), Tie

Bring your MUSIC STAND, or lyre. Your preference.

Take I-490 East to I-390 South.

Turn left on Scottsville Rd (NY 383).
Stay straight, go to Elmwood Ave.
Turn right into drive at Genesee Valley Park Complex.


From the South
Take I-390 North to Exit 17 (Rt. 383).
Turn left on Scottsville Rd.
Stay straight, go to Elmwood Ave.
Turn right into drive at Genesee Valley Park Complex.


From the East
Take I-490 West, merge onto I-590 South via exit 21.
I-590 becomes I-390 North.
Take Rt. 383 North Exit 17.
Turn left and follow directions above.
