OKay, I may be late on this one, but to my surprise shopping with my daughter at Target yesterday.............THERE IT WAS! The exact hat Toby wears in American Soldier...needless to say I squealed and danced in the middle of Target............my daughter thought I was nuts......but I bought it!

The check out lady said, "oh no, you another Toby Keith Fan?" and I said, "of course, why?" "Because everyone who has bought that hat is a Toby Keith fan!"................so check out your local Target stores ladies, they are on the shelves and very reasonably priced......... SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH MY GOSH. Thank you for this Info!!

American Soldier is my 7-year-old's favorite song. She sang it at her school's talent show and she wrote out the lyrics as a calligraphy project for her school. I sure hope our Target has the hat. She is jumping up and down and beside herself with anticipation.

I'm off to Target. Thanks again for sharing the info!! Toby fans are the best.

I'm sitting here remembering my Dad. You see Dad passed away on Oct. 3, 2003. You often feel that you are over the pain. When all of the sudden it sneaks back into you mind. I often feel that when this happens that Dad is also thinking of me. You might be asking what does this have to do with Toby!! In 2002 I went to my first Toby Keith concert. I had tried to get tickets to no avail. Then a company that I was working for was given 4 tickets to say thanks. I ran over to tell my Dad. He knew nothing of Toby so I turned on the county channel on TV and Lo and Behold there was Toby. By Dad's favorite saying is "Good Deal". As we sat and watched, he looked over at me with that wonderful smile and said,"Honey, that is a very talanted man, great voice and very handsome. I am so happy for you, "Good Deal".

That is one of the many precious moments I have with my Dad. He called after the concert to see how I enjoyed it. I told him it was one of the most wonderful experiences in my life. I told him, "Dad, Toby is so talanted, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it". I also bought Toby's 'Pull my chain' CD for him. He listened to it often. Now I have that Cd, and every time I listen to it I think of Dad. What a "Good Deal".

Looking back, I got interested in Toby's music on the radio with 'How Do You Like Me Now', and 'I Wanna Talk About Me' (listening to country stations after we moved to Dallas). I also really appreciated 'Courtesy' when it came out. But I still didn't really know what Toby was all about. I was flying last year and listened to a Toby special on the in-flight radio and came home and bought two CD's to try to find a song that I had liked (it was 'You Leave me Weak'). I was hooked, and started researching him. I got my husband interested and started updating him -- like, "hey you know that song, 'Should Have Been a Cowboy'? That's Toby Keith too!" (We had no idea -- I don't have a background in country music, as I am from the east.)

Anyway, just thought you might find it funny how I came around the back way to finding out about this great singer/songwriter. As I said, I have really appreciated your website, as it gave me tons of information very quickly and easily. I'll keep looking at it regularly.

Shortly before Thanksgiving I found out that my son was being sent to Iraq. I was very upset and worried. He was supposed to come home on leave but then it was cancelled. Well they changed it about a dozen times about whether he could come or not. It was like being on an emotional roller coster. Well one day I hit the bottom of the hill and stayed there. I went into a deep depression. That's when I found Toby. I was in a deep dark hole of depression that my husband could not even pull me out of. I started listening to Toby every day and slowly Toby pulled me out of that hole. He made me smile when I could not smile. He made me laugh when I just wanted to cry. I listened to him all day at work to keep myself from crying. I just can't listen to "American Soldier" when I'm upset about missing my son because it will make me cry. It's like I found Toby when I needed him the most. I have a really hard time explaining to people what Toby's music has done for me. To be blunt, he makes me feel good when I feel like crap. I just wish I could thank him for what he has done for me.

My kids are 17, 12 and 7. My daughter (the 17-year-old) refuses to listen to "Weed with Willie" and it was purely her own decision. . .she abhors anything that references any type of drug use. I'm so glad for that! My 12-year-old son wouldn't sing if you held a gun to his head, so him repeating anything isn't an issue. Now the 7-year-old is another story. We never know WHAT will come out of his mouth. . .we just keep our fingers crossed that he doesn't start singing 'I Love This Bar' (he knows all the words) at the Baptist church where we attend!! He knows not to repeat certain words, but he likes to go for that shock factor!!

Everytime I listen to "Heart to Heart" and Toby talks about Stelen throwing that bowl of oatmeal across the kitchen floor and then the glass of OJ down the back of his mother's dress, I'm thinkin', that's my Andrew!!

On more than a few occasions club members have talked about the addictive nature of the Forum message board. Here is one reply to a thread entitled: Late Again, Who else loses time here?

As I was getting ready this morning, I was thinking about time savers so we can spend more time in here (if that's possible!):

1. Store your makeup in your desk drawer and attach one of those sticky mirrors to the monitor.

2. Hair in a ponytail instead of on hot rollers.

3. Sleep in your clothes?!

Everyone in my family I asked to go to the concert with me (Continental arena, NJ, my treat) said "Who's Toby Keith?" I have only been a fan since September (2003). Only because I'm from New Jersey, where they don't play country music on the radio anymore. I found CMT by accident when I tuned in for the Johnny Cash tributes. (a favorite of my beloved father, who passed away in'97). When I saw Toby for the first time, I was mesmerized, I couldn't get enough, I can't even really explain it, I always said the only music I didn't like was country! But I have totally changed my outlook. My parents used to take me to country music shows when I was a teen. I saw Tanya Tucker when she was 17, Conway Twitty, Bill Anderson, Cal Smith and a few others, but it was in a highschool auditorium, no big thing I thought. Now I consider myself fortunate that my parents exposed me to this music early on, and it brings back pleasant memories of being with my parents. I know my dad must be watching me from heaven and somehow influencing my choices so he can enjoy the music too!!! If I get an opportunity to win a M&G, I know my dad will be with me in spirit, I hope ya'll don't mind!!!
